How do you bill?

Fixed fee where the scope allows. Transparent hourly where it does not, with a cap agreed up front. We do not bill in 6-minute increments by reflex — only when the matter genuinely needs it.

What is the engagement process?

You send a paragraph on the matter. We reply within one business day with a conflicts check, a scope, and a fee estimate. If you accept we send an engagement letter; once countersigned, the file opens.

Do you only do tech / SaaS work?

No. Tech and IP is a strength because we read the documents AND understand the systems. But commercial work, governance, POPIA, contracts and disputes are core practice. We refuse work outside our depth — and tell you up front.

Question 4

Can you act for non-SA companies?

Accepted Answer

Where the matter has a SA nexus — South African counterparty, contract, regulator or court — yes. Where it does not, we refer to counsel in the relevant jurisdiction rather than pretend otherwise.

Question 5

What is your turnaround on a contract review?

Accepted Answer

A short, standard contract: same business day. A long or unusual one: 2-3 business days with a status check after day one. Urgent reviews accepted on agreement; nights and weekends charged at the same rate, not premium.

Are you on retainer?

Accepted Answer

Yes — monthly retainers for in-house counsel support, board secretarial, and rolling commercial workload. Quoted on engagement.
